Who Are We?

We are a group of people who love to read and reflect on God’s word, the Bible. We have a love for God and a hope in the fulfillment of His plan for His creation. We have these most important things in common and aside from that, we are all very different!
Some of us are old, some are young, some don't quite
know how to describe their age. We are athletes and couch potatoes, adventurous thrill-seekers and homebodies. We are singles, couples, parents, grandparents and grandchildren.
We come from this country and others. We have had a presence in the County for over thirty years.
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians" 3:28 (NKJV)
If you want to learn more about God and want to serve Him, want to be more like Jesus and want to express your love for Him, you might be just like us!
Who Are The Christadelphians?
The name “Christadelphian” is a Greek word meaning “Brethren in Christ”.
Christadelphians are a small religious body who have deliberately attempted to get back to the faith and character of the early Christian church.
Are They New?
We have been in existence for over 160 years.
Where Are Christadelphians Found?
In addition to having a presence in the County, we are located throughout the world. Like the first century Christians, we meet in homes, rented rooms, and in some cases, our own buildings. (Acts 1:13; 2:46)
How Are Christadelphians Organized?
We are a lay community patterned after first century Christianity. Members of each congregation are addressed as "Brother" and "Sister", and all have a joint responsibility for the welfare of the church. We are unique in having no central governing body, each church (ecclesia) being autonomous. Love for one another and a strong common belief bind our Brotherhood together.
(Matthew 23:8-12; Romans 12:4-6; 1 John 4:7, 11)
What Do Christadelphians Believe and Teach?
We believe that the Bible is God's only revealed message to mankind, given to bring responsive individuals to God’s plan for mankind and His requirements. The Bible is our only authority, and we teach that it should be read prayerfully and with care at every opportunity.

Like the first century disciples, we meet together every first day of the week (Sunday) to remember the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus, our Lord as he requested. In so doing, baptized members participate in the breaking of bread (communion). (Acts 20:7; Acts 2:42; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29; 2 Timothy 3: 16-17)

What Kind of Life Do Christadelphians Lead?
The example of Jesus our Lord and Master gives effective direction to our lives. We attempt to rely fully upon God and develop a faith that is active in prayer and service to God and our neighbour. At the same time, however, we recognize that salvation is by grace. With God's help, we seek to please and obey Him every day, striving to be Christ like in our thoughts and actions.
(2 Peter 1:5-11, James 2:17, 5:16; Ephesians 2:8-10, 5:1-2, Philippians 2:1-5, 13,
Rom 12:1-2)
